My life changed in the summer of 1997 when we buried my father. Four months later, my mother died suddenly, and a short time later my husband was diagnosed with a terminal illness. In less than two years, I had lost half my family. The anguish was indescribable and I mourned deeply. I came to realize that the combination of my professional background with my life transforming experiences placed me in a unique position to help others not only professionally, but personally.
